 Registration Date

The Minority Welfare Department of Telangana has officially announced the registration dates for the Telangana scholarship year 2025. The last date to submit applications is December 31, 2025. We request all the interested candidates to submit their application before the deadline through the official Telangana ePASS portal. Candidate must be a Resident of Telangana Applicants should not be older than 35 years as of July 1, 2025 .The admission criteria is to have 60% marks in last degree program. Eligible countries include the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Germany, New Zealand, Japan, France, and South Korea.

Objective of Telangana Overseas Scholarship

According to the announcement letter, the Telangana Overseas Scholarship will cover INR 20 lakh as tuition fee. The government will provide a one way ticket to the students who are chosen and who have also received their visas. Every student will have accessibility to all of these services at no additional cost. This scholarship aims to assist people in pursuing their studies without being limited.

As soon as the student gets accepted to a foreign PhD program, he will be allowed to apply for the scholarship and will be able to pursue further education and career development through this opportunity.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility for the Telangana Scholarship 2025 is following:

•  Applicants must be residents of Telangana.
• Must be able to take admission in abroad university.
• Applicants must have at least 60% marks in their previous qualification exam and also meet the required test scores in exams such as GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE, depending on the course and university.
• The candidate should not more than 35 years as of July 1, 2025,
• less than ₹5 lakhs should be family income from all sources. Only one student per family is eligible to benefit from the scheme.
• Castes Tribes Backward area student are eligible for this scholarship.
•  These eligibility requirements ensure that the scheme supports deserving and genuinely underprivileged students who wants to study in abroad

 Amount of Scholarship

• The total value of the scholarship award is up to INR 20 lakhs
• Selected students will also be granted visas and one-way economy flights.
• 50 Christian minorities will receive one-way tickets.

• The Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minorities

Disbursement of the Scholarship

• Total Scholarship Amount is Up to ₹20 lakhs

• Disbursed in Two Instalments:

• 1st Instalment (50%) is released after submission of:

• student visa copy, joining report from the foreign university

• Immigration entry details (proof of landing abroad)

• 2nd Instalment (remaining 50%) is released after submission of:

• Amount is directly transferred to the student’s Indian bank account in Some Cases the scholarship may be directly paid to the foreign university for tuition fees.

Telangana Overseas Scholarship Apply Online 2025

1. Go to the Telangana ePASS Portal.
2. Click on overseas Scholarship Services button
3. Choose the relevant scholarship category
4. Click on the link for registration
5. Fill in the Application Form: Provide all required details accurately.
6. Upload digital copies of all mandatory documents
7. After reviewing all information, submit your application

 Selection Process

• A merit list is published depend on criteria
• 60% weightage for academic performance in the qualifying examination, 20% weightage for GRE/GMAT scores
• 20% weightage for TOEFL/IELTS/PTE scores.

Note: Even if the foreign university does not require GRE/GMAT or TOEFL/IELTS/PTE scores, candidates must submit at least two of these test scores to be considered for the merit list .

• on the homepage screen click on the option called Dashboard Login
• A new page will open on your screen.
• Enter the login details like user id and password.
• Now click on the login option.
