Google PhD Fellowship for Indian Students 2025
Google has introduced a PhD Fellowship program to support Indian talented students who want to pursue their higher studies and research in the field of computer science and related areas. This fellowship program gives financial support to research students who can work on innovative ideas and excel in academia. Students from different backgrounds who can meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply. The main goal of this fellowship is to excel the potential ideas and make research more comprehensive. This fellowship covers all expenses including tuition fee and accommodation. Under this scholarship, a student can get a chance to work under Google research mentor. All applications are open on 10th April 2025.

Objective of Google PhD Fellowship
It offers financial support to Indian students so that it can cover their living expenses and research supplies without any hurdle, which makes it easier to focus on their studies and innovative ideas. It also helps students to build strong relationships with global academic mentors. All students from different backgrounds can apply. It provides this chance not only in India, but also in Africa, Australia, Canada, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and the United States.
Eligibility Criteria
- You must be enrolled and supported by the university to be eligible to apply.
- Eligible regions i.e India, Southeast Asia or Africa or are already enrolled in a university are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates must apply separately for a CS degree and the University must be an accredited institution awarding research degrees in CS or related fields.
- An applicant must use the grant according to rules and regulations during their PhD.
Financial Benefits
Early-stage PhD students
- An Applicant will receive $50,000 USD over four years.
- Students must work under the supervision of a Google research mentor.
- This covers Tuition fees, Living expenses, Research materials, Travel and conference costs.
Late-stage Ph.D. student
- It offers a 1year fellowship award to those candidates who are about to finish their Ph.D.
- It will reward $10,000 to cover their research expenses and living cost.
