Women Gaining Ground Fellowship: Application Process and Program Details

International women’s rights organization named The International Women’s Rights Action Watch Asia Pacific, which is a campaigner, and the Global South, is trying to get equality in gender equality and 0 sure to protection of human rights through the continuous explanation and application of the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). Our main motive is to develop and enhance the strength of different spaces for women’s rights, particularly through the Global South, to carry the issues from the country level and prefer to impact global and regional programs.

About the Women Gaining Ground Consortium

Women Gaining Ground (WGG) is a world south-led association that operates through three corporations with profound experience in women’s leadership, encouragement, and working with groups such as CREA, Akili Dada, and IWRAW Asia Pacific in conjunction with 16 different countries. The purpose of this program is to prevent and reduce sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) against girls and women. This leaagainagainstdevelopment of strength and enhances women’s leadership and involvement of women in decision-making. IWRAW Asia Pacific employs WDD fellows with outstanding conversation and leadership skills and experience in rights programs to assist its work in the final years of application in 2025.

DETAILS OF FELLOWSHIP

This program gives a chance to freshly graduated professionals to work in the women’s rights movement while showing their communication and event management skills. The candidates will work as the WRAW Asia Pacific team during the time period of the organization, according to their terms and conditions. This second-time program will work for 3 months and will work as a mobile program. USD 2,250 of the total stipend, which is approximately USD 750 for three months, will be given to selected candidates, depending on 25 working hours in one week. We will prefer applicants from Africa and South Asia due to time zone variation.

SCOPE OF FELLOWSHIP

IWRAW Asia Pacific will give essential support and guidance to women gaining ground fellows to fulfill their responsibilities and identify significant time zones. The candidates will help the WGG Projects with logic and implement a conversational logic which have the following activities:

Administrative, planning, and logistical work
  1. Involved in project planning and involved in this program in 2025
  2. Help in hiring service givers such as graphic designers, documenters, and helpers.
  3. Assist the IWRAW AP Finance & Management team on legal matters and establish a summary and action plans
  4. Cooperate with the partner of the project for the deliveries of the project
  5. Attend all virtual and in-person functions of this face-to-face communication
  • Work carefully with the project to help in establishing awareness related to WGG on different social media pages and websites.
  • Provide both mechanical and content writing support for all WGG operations.
  • Use Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Canva, Zoom, and Google Meet for efficient communications.
  • Develop interesting and natural content for social media pages
  • Organize all project plans of projects to create online communication.
  • The candidates can communicate easily with and can also report any issue to the officer of the program, and leader of the project, and the communication team.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences or Journalism / Media from a well-known university
  • Equal professional degree

Knowledge & Skills

  • Skill to work self and in combination with various teams
  • Outstanding writing and speaking abilities in English; other language knowledge is good but not obligatory.
  • Strong work experience in women’s rights, political problems is also required.
  • Experience that is describable and that a person can execute communication plans is also useful.
  • Relaxation and enthusiasm to adjust to alterations, and the capability to meet deadlines.
