IIT Delhi Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship 2025
The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has introduced the Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship 2025 program. It is designed to nurture young talent and provide them hands on research experience which will help them to pursue their research career.
The selected fellows will get a chance to do research under the guidance of well -known faculty members of ITT Mumbai. In short, we can say this fellowship is your gateway into the world of research and innovation.
Motive of IIT Delhi Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship
The IIT Delhi Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship program is all about giving a chance to undergraduate students to secure their future by diving into the world of research and innovation.
It is not just about research it is about growth. The fellowship is a stepping stone for those who are curious, ambitious, and ready to challenge themselves in a professional research-driven environment
Eligibility Criteria
- This fellowship is open to all undergraduate engineering students who have completed at least two years of their degree.
- Applicants must also be permanent citizen of India.
- If you are passionate about research and have a strong academic track record this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Financial Benefits
The selected student will receive a stipend of 500 per week during the fellowship. This amount will help student with basic expenses during the research stay.

- What is the IIT Delhi USRF Program?
It’s an 8–12 weeks summer research opportunity for outstanding undergraduate engineering students to work under IIT Delhi faculty supervision, typically from 15 May to 15 July.
- Who can apply?
- Undergraduate engineering students from non-IIT institutions in India or abroad.
- Must be in the top 10 of their program/branches in academic ranking.
- Who is NOT eligible?
- Students currently enrolled in any IIT are not eligible to apply.
- What benefits does the fellowship provide?
- ₹500 per week stipend.
- Sleeper-class train travel reimbursement (to/from IIT Delhi).
- Free boarding and lodging at IIT Delhi hostels.
- No registration fee charged.
- What is the application period?

- Results: Announced by the second week of April 2025
