Dalai Lama Fellows originated in 2010, with the help of a self-determining, non-sectional, and exceptional organization 14th Dalai Lama. With the initiation of the program, Dalai Lama Fellows has achieved a developer in cooperating with thoughtful practices and self-prosperous with social revolution. From the starting date, the program has crossed 225 persons across 54 different races, building an active world management which acts as a regular human source for social invention of the next age group.
DLF collaborated with the Virginia Contemplative Sciences Center (CSC) university in September 2018, which is a forerunner to enhance and inspect the education field. This ensures prolong effect and sustainability. The university consists of staff to bring the fellowship program to a global level, along with working with local academic programs for university campus students.
DLF developed an associate program with Stanford University in 2021. Stanford University faculty convey a Head, Heart, and Hands management program to the students of the university. In the coming years, there’s hope that DLF will explore its association with other universities all over the world. This fellowship provides a one-year offer for rising leaders entrenched in mindfulness, passion, and reliability. This thoughtful program provides a group learning coaching curriculum and extra assistance to help candidates apply what type of knowledge they are seeking to work in the global workforce. During this time period, each candidate applies an original project that labels local problems. With the assistance of the fellowship, candidates enhance thoughtfulness, emotional intelligence, listening and conversation abilities, and mother skills to develop a positive influence on the society in which they work.
DLF incorporated the native and international fellows to perform essential work in their native communities in the time linking them to the associated spirit network. After graduation, candidates intersect the long-term community, through which they link mutually and support each other to enhance their journey.

2025 Fellowship Application
We are looking for 15-20 fellows who can develop change all over the world for the Dalai Lama Fellows program. The application duration is from 15 October 2024 to 3 December 2024
Key Dates

- February-March 2025: Selection of candidates, and they will be notified
- March 2025: Online socializing of new Fellows
- April 2025: Formal fellowship year start
- July 2025: 5-day mindful leadership collection in the US
- April 2026: completion of official fellowship year complete; Fellows enter long-term candidate’s world headship and learning community
- July 2026: 5-day thoughtfulness Leadership meeting in TBD location
Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must have an eligibility requirement such as:
- Age: 20-36 years old
- Speaking and writing in English would be better
- Recent involvement with those projects that can bring social alteration and remain adherent to the plans throughout the program duration.
- One-year previous working experOne year of the society
- Deep understanding to handle issues of the project
- Importance of seeking knowledge in mindfulness practices throughout the year
Assurance to take part in a variety of programs such as virtual learning proposal, 1-on-1 training calls, assembly learning calls, etc. We evaluate that full involvement in the program needs 12 hours/month. Meeting mid-July 2025 will cover all travel, food, and housing expenditures

DO YOU OFFER ANY FUNDING FOR PROJECTS?
We do not offer funding for projects.
If I don’t yet have a social invention project, do I have to develop a project during my selection year?
Yes. We expect all applicants should have planned a project and developed it in 6 6-month duration.
Can this project be my full-time employment?
Yes. Many of our candidates work as full-time workers.
Do I have to be the originator of the social invention project?
No. You should not be the founder of this project.
Do I have to accomplish my project within the program duration?
No. Many candidates pursue work after completion.
Do I have to be a resident of the community where I’m doing my project?
No. But you have to provide proof through your application
Can my project be delivered fully online?
Yes. We accept projects that are delivered online.
