Chief Minister Tourism Fellowship Program: Opportunities, Selection Criteria, and Stipend Details

The Chief Minister Tourism Fellowship Program’s motive is to deliver a significant opportunity to the youth to cooperate with the government in travel scheme execution, management, and observation. The chosen candidates will be skilled in the overall establishment of tourism strategy, values, ecosystem, and synchronized valuation of the program applied through the Central Government under this fellowship. An outline for the fairs and carnivals is also planned under this program. The main motive of this fellowship is to select proficient and motivated researchers for tourism goals and enterprise development. Researchers who are associated with history, culture, and ecosystem subjects are selected by this program. District Magistrate, Tourism Department official, and Divisional Commissioner provide supervision to the selected candidates.

Objectives of the Chief Minister Tourism Fellowship Program

The following are the major purposes of this fellowship:

The chosen candidates from Uttar Pradesh will be skilled in the overall establishment of tourism strategy, values, ecosystem, and synchronized valuation of the program applied through the Central Government under this fellowship.
An outline for the fairs and carnivals is also planned under this program. The main motive of this fellowship is to select proficient and motivated researchers for tourism goals and enterprise improvement for equal involvement in the establishment of travel considering future requirements.
The selected candidates also attain the best training in different countries in terms of travel, and give recommendations in case of their strategy departmental execution by giving an opportunity in the course of establishing festivals.

Reward

The selected candidates will get a Rs. 30,000 Reward, and for the field, they will get Rs. 10,000/month under the Chief Minister Tourism Fellowship Program. The researcher will arrange a house for himself, and they will also be provided with a tablet.

Period of engagement and annual performance appraisal

The total time period of this fellowship program is one year from the joining date. This duration is prolonged for one year based on the candidate’s performance and requirements in the tourism region touris regionm. In addition to the reward and area visit, there will be no extra reward given to the researchers. After the completion of the recommended duration successfully, a performance certificate will be awarded to the researchers by the department.

Roles and Responsibilities

The selected candidates have the following roles and responsibilities under the Chief Minister Tourism Fellowship Program:

District Magistrate, Tourism Department official, and Divisional Commissioner provide supervision to the selected candidates during the time period.
Researchers will do a synchronized valuation of all employed schemes through the district tourism department, the secretary, the Cultural council, and District Tourism Department officials work collaboratively for managing carnivals.
The researcher will be given wide support for data collection of visitors that visit the area, native or international tourists, and solving the problems of the travelers.
The candidates will give better recommendations for problems that are faced during the implementation of travel policies and provide proposals for enhancing tourists’ influx in the place.
The selected candidates also attain the best training in different countries in terms of travel, and give recommendations in case of their strategy’s departmental execution by giving an opportunity in the course of establishing festivals.
The candidates will be accountable for gathering recent performing an evaluation for increasing tourism income.

Other important conditions

The selected researchers can not do any study, job, or work because of the Chief Minister Tourism Fellowship’s whole-time scheme.
After completion of the duration, this program doesn’t guarantee a permanent job.
The timing of the office will be the same for all candidates.
Additional work and travel can be taken by researchers.
A medically fit certificate is also provided during fellowship joining.
Also, a police clearance certificate is required to join this program.
During the duration, the selected candidates should stay at an associated place.
The candidates should present their involvement to the related office within 30 days of getting an offer letter; otherwise, their selection will be dismissed.
During the duration of the fellowship, the researchers cannot be involved in any kind of political activity.
When you are employed at the level of division, the selected person should visit the area, evaluate, and prepare for the tourism program of tourism.

Management

The tourism department will do the application and monitoring of this program. To select the researchers, different management and institutes are involved, such as the Tourism department, Food Technology and Applied Nutrition Institute, Hotel management, Lucknow, and Food Craft Institute, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification

High-level education and graduation with 60% marks from well-known educational institutes.

Preferential Qualification

The following qualifications are required to join this fellowship program:
B.B.A./B.A./M.A./ M.Phil. /Ph.D.
Tourism and Travel Management
M.B.A Hospitality Tourism
Travel, P.G. Diploma Travel and Tourism
Archaeology
Researchers should have experience and knowledge of MS-Word/MS-Excel/MS-PowerPoint, Point/Windows.
The researchers must be prepared to work in relevant fields.
Candidates should be efficient in both Hindi and English.

Age Limit

The maximum age of the researcher should be 40 years, but not more than 40 years.

Selection Process Scrutiny of Application Forms

First of all, the researchers were invited to the official website of Tourism. Candidates must propose an SOP (Statement of Purpose) consisting of 500 words with an online application form. The committee will analyze the applications. Assessment will be done on the following basis:

Uncertain candidates will be dismissed after analysis.

Duplicity control:

Applicants with one email address, mobile number, and name will be selected.

Eligibility of research scholars:

Ph.D. graduates with 60% marks will be accepted.

Age criteria:

40 years of age will be acknowledged.

Those researchers who have not submitted a San OP of 500 words will be excluded.

Evaluation of applications

The following steps are done by the election committee:

Objective Scoring: 50 marks

Candidate objective marking will be done by the selection team.

Educational Qualification & Work Experience

Interview: 25 marks

The selection team consists of three members, which is established by the government for analyzing the applicants.
Candidates will submit the original and attested documents along with the application form.
Educational verification at the time of the interview.
The assessment consists of candidates’ general knowledge, motivation toward work.
Submit SOP along with an application form for scoring 25 points.
According to the program terms and conditions, 25 candidates will be selected, also 25 applicants will be reserved on the coming list.

Training

Researchers, after selection, will obtain 2 weeks of training at the Honorable Kanshi Ram Institute of Tourism Management in Lucknow, which consists of lectures from significant institutes of FHRAI in New Delhi, ITTM Nodia, FCI Aligarh, Archaeology Delhi Institute, and many others.
