During this time fellows are trained to work closely with government officials and local authorities to ensure animal welfare laws are understood and enforced. They learn how to use these laws to actually help animals in need not just in theory but in real situations.

About Ahimsa

Ahimsa is all about sympathy and affection for animals. The main goal of this program is to train a group of people with the same interests who believe that animals should live without fear of cruelty. 

In this fellowship program they train people about how to work with the government and local communities to make sure animal protection laws are followed. They also learn how to rescue animals and solve their problems also spread awareness regarding animal protection.

Animals can’t speak for themselves and need our care and protection. It is created for people who truly want to work for animals and are ready to learn and grow while doing it.

The training program supports animals for their safety and survival. It initiates many programs for animal food and shelters, inspections of slaughterhouses, builds welfare organizations for animals, and implements birth control for street animals. Trainees are supported to raise their voice against animal cruelty and encouraged to make life better for animals.  Motive of Ahimsa Fellowship

The Ahimsa Fellowship was created to protect animals who are hurt, mistreated, or in danger and to train people who can step in and help them the right way.

Fellows learn about the laws made for animals and how to work with government officers to stop cruelty and make sure these laws are followed. It’s not just a training— real, practical tasks are assigned to get hands-on experience so that they can grow and build their confidence.

The primary goal of this fellowship program is to take care of and protect animals. Either it’s on the streets or at slaughterhouses, Ahimsa trainees are ready to take action against any problem and make a difference.

 Eligibility Criteria
  • Must be between 21 to 30 years old
  • Must completed at least a Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • A person should be passionate about animal welfare and ready to work on the ground
  • Be willing to work with government officers’ shelters houses of a local community
  • Should know basic communication in English and at least one regional language
  • Be ready to commit full-time to the 8-month training and fieldwork
 Financial Benefits
  • The candidate will receive a stipend of 10,000 per month for initial 2 months After from the third month it will increase to 20,000 per month to support their work and living expenses.
  • Travel and accommodation costs is fully covered by the Ahimsa team, so they don’t need to worry about spending from their own pocket.
  • Each Fellow is guided by experienced and supportive mentors who are always there to help them specially in challenging situations. 
  •  It is a learning through doing opportunity.
  • Through this Fellowship students will get a chance to work with government officers Also they will be trained to create meaningful changes in society by understanding laws and engaging with communities.
  • Along the journey Fellows also meet people from across the country during events workshops and meet-ups, where they exchange ideas learn new things from one another and become part of a growing network of change makers.

Duration of Fellowship

The fellowship period is 8 months.

  • Telephonic Interview

 The selected candidates are contacted through telephone and get information about their personality and experience.

  • Final Interview (Online or In-person)

Selected candidates will go through a final round of interviews with the fellowship panel.

  • Selection and Offer Letter

Final selected fellows will receive an official
