Atma Nirbhar Gujarat Fellowship

To strengthen the nation, inauguration of a set up Savli Technology & Business Incubator  is designed in conjunction with Vadodara Industrial state to enhance economy through accommodating support to promising entrepreneurs. This STBI motive is to develop rich ecology which promote synergistic establishment among technologists, scientists, investors, entrepreneurs   to stimulate technology embedded private enterprise, firstly in biotechnology field, life sciences, and other relevant courses which have influence of socioeconomics.

Objective/ Expected Deliverable

For establishment of IP rights which can be registered are expected to form through Atma Nirbhar Gujarat Fellowship Program. By progression in Technology Readiness Levels, improvement of technology should be obvious.

These are the following areas which are covered under this fellowship program:

1. Diagnostics, Medical Devices
2. Drugs, Vaccines, Drug Formulations 
3. Delivery systems
4. Industrial Biotechnology
5. Bioinformatics
6. Agriculture Biotechnology
7. Probiotics & Food Biotechnology
8. Health Care
9. Environmental Biotechnology including Waste Management, Sanitation, Clean Energy, etc.

Categories

Eligibility

• Applicants must have BSc, BE in any field are eligible for this program.
• Applicants who fulfilled MSc, ME, M.Tech. in any course are selected for this scheme
• Applicants have completed Ph.D. or submit thesis.
• Bachelor’s degree with eight years of experience in any field.
• Team can also apply but offer letter should clearly describe the candidate, appeal to alter the composition of the team, award will only develop in outstanding cases.
• Female applicants who are physically disable are motivated to apply for this program and relinquishment of 2 years is given to these applicants.
• Candidates who apply are asked to full time work in this fellowship.

Conditions leading to ineligibility for AGF

• The applicants who have income source are not meant for this program, even these students are not beneficiary for reward, fund during the duration of this program.
• The reward is not granted for those students who are doing Ph.D. in same topic. The candidates who are selected can not continue their Ph.D. program during the fellowship duration.
• Gujarat candidates with same domicile are considered first, while applicants should approve their start up in the region.

Nature of Proposals supported

• Project purpose to develop research
• Purpose of proposal to establish initiative products and organizations with ability to meet required needs.
• Fellows of Atma Nirbhar Gujarat are estimated to begin their start-ups and those proposal with ability to socialize the process are considered first to support.

Number and Duration of Fellowship

• Every year three programs for STBI-AGF-A and Six programs for each STBI-AGF-B and STBI-AGF-C should be contemplated.
• The person who is deserving this program shall be given for duration of 18 months with a facility of 6-months allowance.

Support provided to fellows under the scheme

• Atma Nirbhar Gujarat Fellows will get a monthly fellowship, an improvement grant and regular assistance as mentioned:

Regular Hand-holding

This program provides fellows regular assistance such as technical supervision, Legal and IP support, business and fund raising and many more.

Current procedure : Application, Selection criteria for all sorts of fellowships:

1. The candidates will be invited through announcement on leading websites.
2. The candidates submit the application online before the last date.
3. Candidates must submit FTO review report from skilled expert organization.
4. STBI will check the eligibility of the candidate.
5. The selected candidates are called for interview before the nominated committee.
6. The selected candidates will give a stamp paper which make sure of returning the entire grant of this fellowship in such condition in which they are unable to complete the duration otherwise they will be excluded by committee.

AGF Designated Committee

All activities of fellowship such as candidate selection, progress analysis, AGF graduated candidates are reviewed through a single committee.
